When I first came to Baltimore, I wasn’t excited—I was skeptical. I had a life I loved in D.C. and didn’t think this city could offer me more. I thought I’d be giving something up. Instead, I gained everything I didn’t realize I was missing: real community, more space, a better quality of life, and the foundation to build wealth on my own terms.
